Welcome to Knode Games
Guess what the blockchain does next. Win a share of the pool.
Prediction games about Koinos block producers: daily questions, races and more on the way. Each game has a fresh leaderboard every week. Playing is free.
What's going on
Koinos adds a new block every few seconds. Each block is made by a producer, a computer that earns a small reward for it. We ask things like "How many blocks will this producer make in the next 4 hours?"
The VHP players stake helps Knode Games' own producer make blocks. Those block rewards fill the weekly prize pool, so the more people stake, the bigger the pool.
How Daily Questions work

The details
How rewards are worked out
Play free, or stake VHP
Anyone can answer and climb the leaderboard for free, and each week the 2 best free players win 1 VHP each (ties share; a free player is one who never held the minimum stake that week; from the October 2026 contract update). To share in the rewards, stake at least 1 VHP (whole numbers only), or KOIN, which is burned into VHP. A stake counts from the next week. You can withdraw any amount at any time, down to the last decimal. Withdraw part during a week and you keep playing with the lower stake; withdraw everything and you're out for that week.
Answer daily questions
30 questions a week: 5 new ones every Monday to Saturday at 12:00 UTC, and answers close at 00:00 UTC, 12 hours later, before the blocks they ask about are produced. Every correct answer is one point. Sunday is results day.
The week closes
95% of the week's block rewards go to the players (5% producer fee). Up to 2 VHP of it is the 2 best free players' prize; the rest goes to the top 30% of staked players who scored at least one point, ties included. Higher places earn more: 40% is shared by place × stake counted up to 10 VHP per wallet, so a small stake still earns a real share, and 60% by place × full stake, so staking more pays more. Winners are final Tuesday 12:00 UTC. No staked winners? The free players' prize is still paid, and the rest carries into next week.
Collect your reward
Your reward is paid in VHP. After a 5% producer fee, the top 30% of staked players who scored at least one point win, counted by headcount, and ties at the line win too. Each place weighs 1/√rank, so first place weighs the most. The pot is two baskets: 40% shared by place weight times your stake counted up to 10 VHP per wallet (so a small stake still earns a real share), and 60% shared by place weight times your full stake. There are at most 30 questions a week, so at most 30 points. (These rules apply from the first full week after the October 2026 contract update; before it, the first basket was shared by place alone.) Unclaimed rewards wait for you, and keep producing for the pool meanwhile.
Anyone can move the results: voids and the VHP rule
Anyone can move the results
Koinos is an open network. Anyone can stake VHP, run a block producer or send transactions, and each of those changes what the blocks show. So players, producers and anyone else can influence the results of these questions, and that is allowed: it is part of the game.
Every active producer can be asked about, including the nodes Knode Games runs (the game pool's and Knode Games Swap's) and the operator's own node. To keep any one node from carrying too much weight, no producer is part of more than 4 questions in a week, and the least-used producers are picked first.
The project takes part too. It runs Knode Games Swap (the desk at 1FKTpXBhhHEbu5vVchM8UsVbAvPArJsRmR, which produces blocks) and a block-producer node of its own. Both can appear in questions like any other producer. The game's own pool is never a subject.
Two rules keep a question fair to answer. It is voided, and counts for nobody, if a producer it asks about goes offline during its window. It is also voided if a producer it asks about (for a group question, the group's combined VHP) gains or loses more than 10% of its VHP, compared with the question's release, in one of the hourly readings taken during its window. For questions about the whole network, the network's total VHP is used. Every VHP reading is published with the question.
This void can be triggered on purpose, and not only by the producer: anyone can send or burn VHP to a producer a question is about, or swap VHP into Knode Games Swap, and a large enough move voids the question. That is why only readings taken before the blocks have decided the answer count: once the answer is known, moving VHP can no longer void it. Readings taken after the window has ended never count either, and if no reading was taken before the answer was decided the rule does not apply (the result says so).
“Decided” means the chance that the rest of the window changes the answer is below one in a billion. It is worked out cautiously from each producer's own blocks so far in that window: the producer is assumed to keep producing at the top of what its blocks so far allow, and the chance of still reaching another answer is bounded from above (a standard binomial tail bound). Once a question is decided, a producer going offline no longer voids it either. The limit is part of each question when it is released, and every result shows the block where its answer was decided.
Questions
Who decides the right answer?
The blocks do. After a question's window ends and the blocks are final, the answer is computed from them and published with a hash of the exact blocks used. If a producer in a question goes offline, or a producer's VHP (or the whole network's, for network questions) moves by more than 10% before the window ends, the question is voided and doesn't count for anyone. Once the October 2026 contract upgrade is live, the week never closes less than 12 hours after its last result, so a wrong result can always be corrected before it is final, and corrections end 21 hours after the week (or after its latest first result) so they can't hold it open.
Does it cost anything to play?
No fees. Koinos uses Mana, which refills on its own. Knode Games pays the Mana for your answers, picks, stakes and claims, up to a daily limit per player. Past that limit, your wallet's own Mana is used, so keep a little KOIN in it. With KOIN Vault on your phone, holding a little KOIN gives you the Mana.
Can anyone take my stake?
No. The contract only sends your stake back to you. The owner can't move players' stakes or rewards, and code changes must be announced 48 hours ahead so anyone can withdraw first.
In short
Every Koinos block producer is a horse, and every block it signs moves it forward. A handicap gives every horse the same chance. Pick the winner for 3 points, or score 1 point (a show) if your horse finishes 2nd or 3rd. It's free and just for fun.
- Open the Race
Four 6-hour races a day, starting at 00:00, 06:00, 12:00 and 18:00 UTC.
- Pick one horse per race
For any of the next 4 races, so up to 24 hours ahead. Guests can pick too.
- Change your mind until it starts
When the race starts, the chain locks your pick.
- Watch it live, then check the board
A win is 3 points, a show (2nd or 3rd) is 1. Leaderboards for today, this week and all time.
Good to know
- Free. No entry fee, no wager, no prize pool. Knode Games pays the Mana for picks.
- Up to 5 picks a day, counting changes.
- To be ranked on the leaderboard, hold at least 1 VHP or have a Knode Games stake. Everyone else still sees their own score.
- Results are final once the race's blocks are irreversible and match on two independent Koinos nodes.
The details
How the handicap works
Koinos picks who signs each block in proportion to VHP. A producer with a third of the leader's VHP signs about a third as many blocks, so it moves 3 steps per block. That gives every horse the same expected speed. The biggest producer always moves exactly 1 step per block.
Small producers' few blocks come in lucky and unlucky bursts, so a small luck trim evens out every horse's chance of winning. The handicap is set at the start and updated every hour. The winner is the horse with the most steps at the 6-hour mark.
The full handicap explanation is on the Race page.
In short
Turn VHP back into KOIN right now. On its own, VHP only turns back into KOIN slowly as it produces blocks. Knode Games Swap pays you KOIN at once, 1:1 minus a 3% fee.
- Open Swap and connect
Kondor or KOIN Vault. You need nothing else: no account, no sign-up.
- Enter how much VHP
From 1 VHP up to the largest swap the page shows.
- Approve once
You send VHP and get KOIN in the same transaction.
Good to know
- 3% fee: 1 VHP gets you 0.97 KOIN.
- Safe by design. Both sides move together or nothing moves. The desk never holds anyone else's funds.
- Knode Games pays the Mana for wallets that hold VHP, within daily limits.
- The largest swap depends on the KOIN the desk holds right now, and it grows with every block the desk produces.
The details
Where does the KOIN come from?
The VHP people swap in joins the desk's own block producer. Every block it produces turns some of that VHP back into KOIN, which pays the next swap. The fee stays in the node, so the pool keeps growing.
Why is there a fee and a limit?
VHP turns back into KOIN only as it produces blocks, which takes time. The desk takes on that wait for you, and the fee pays for running the node. The desk can only pay out KOIN it holds. After this week's upgrade, a daily payout limit also protects it.
Where can I check the contract?
The desk is the contract 1FKTpXBhhHEbu5vVchM8UsVbAvPArJsRmR. Its code is open source in the Knode Games repository, and every swap is on chain.
